The Innocent Half 2026 route reveal!

New route, new challenge, same great causes!

Think you’ve already bagged the Innocent Half? Think again! This brand new route will have you seeing the run in a whole new light — and loving every stride of it.

Starting and finishing at Queen Margaret University campus, Newcraighall, the Innocent Half 2026 takes you on a stunning journey along cycle paths and quiet roads, including the Brunstane Burn Walkway and the historic Innocent Railway. You’ll pass under the shadow of Arthur’s Seat before looping back to QMU for a well-earned buffet and medal.

With only 150 metres of climb, it’s a fairly FLAT course — perfect for testing your pace, finding your rhythm, and maybe even chasing a PB!

Happening on 8th February, this half marathon is perfectly timed for anyone training for spring marathons. It’s your chance to fine-tune your training, dial in your race strategy, and enjoy a brilliant day out with fellow runners.

The route is fully on tarmac, clearly marked, and well marshalled, so you can simply focus on your stride, breathe in the scenery, and soak up the atmosphere.

Even better, every step supports three incredible Scottish children’s charities:

💛 Richmond’s Hope – helping children through bereavement.

💜 Kidney Kids Scotland – supporting children with renal illness and their families.

💙 Firefly International – helping children affected by conflict around the world.

Your run truly makes a difference.
