Looking for a half marathon event that’s perfectly timed for runners prepping for spring marathons such as London, Brighton, and Edinburgh? The Innocent Half is a brilliant way to test your pace, fine-tune your training, and enjoy a fantastic day out with fellow runners.
NEW ROUTE FOR 2026: Starting and finishing at Queen Margaret University campus, Newcraighall, the new route takes you along cycle paths and quiet roads including the Brunstane Burn Walkway and the historic Innocent Railway which passes under the shadow of Arthur's Seat before returning to QMU for a buffet and medal.
With only 150m of climb, it's a fairly FLAT route.
The route is on tarmac and will be marked and marshalled, so you can focus on your pace and soak up the atmosphere.
Every stride you take supports three incredible Scottish children’s charities: Richmond’s Hope, Kidney Kids Scotland and Firefly International. Whether you’re helping children cope with bereavement, illness, or the impact of conflict, your run makes a real difference.
