What is Blast Running?
Multiple distances. Here at Blast Running we offer 3 chip-timed race distances for you to choose from every Sunday morning; a 2miler, a 5km and a 10km. Whatever you are aiming for, whether you’re in the middle of Couch-to-5km or training for a marathon and looking for company during part of your long Sunday run, we’re here to support your goals. Your speed is not important, just bring your running mojo and we’ll do the rest!
Where and when can I Blast Run?
We are holding 4 series throughout the year. You can enter as few or as many races during the series as you wish. Each week you can choose from 2 miles, 5km or 10km.
Each Sunday run will start at 10.30am from Gypsy Brae Park, EH5 1QD which is the grassy area at the far Easterly end of Silverknowes Beach, near West Shore Road.

All our races are chip timed. Whether you are trying to break 20 minutes or 40 minutes for your 5km the clock only starts timing you when you cross the start line. It’s accurate to within milliseconds so your chip time is your real time… can you sneak under your PB?
