Join us for our popular lunchtime 5K, better known as the Blast 5K @ The Meadows Series - a popular mid-week event set in the heart of Edinburgh's beautiful Meadows! This cheeky wee mid-week speed session welcomes runners of all abilities on a flat, fast officially measured and licensed 5K course.
What to Expect at the Blast 5K @ The Meadows Series:
Open to all runners - beginners, seasoned club runners and children over 11
Prizes for 1st Male and Female in all age categories (online entries only)
Optional finisher's medal (£5 extra)
Results submitted to Run Britain Rankings and Scottish Athletics
Supports local charities
As you may know, charity and community are at the heart of Blast Running and we're delighted to share with you that your donations from the January Blast 5k @ The Meadows 2025 Series totalled £92. Social Bite were very pleased to receive this donation.
Event Details:
When: Tuesdays at 12:45pm in 2026 ( 17 February, 17 March, 12 May, 6 October, 22 December)
Entry: £7 standard / £9 non-members (A £2 insurance levy applies to non-Scottish Athletics members - this goes directly to Scottish Athletics)
Registration: 12:00-12:30pm, cash or card accepted
Sustenance: All finishers will be treated to pancakes and coffee on Shrove Tuesday, 17 February.
