A Wonderful Day for Team Doddie

Participants of all ages came together to support the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, helping to raise nearly £1,000 for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research, while also raising £500 for the Cramond Primary School equipment fund.

A Special Day on the Waterfront

Set against the backdrop of the Firth of Forth, runners enjoyed ideal conditions along the popular Silverknowes route, with supporters lining the course and cheering participants across the finish line.

This year's event was particularly meaningful, with Scotland rugby legend Chris Paterson stepping in to start the races and then taking on the 10K himself. We knew that today would be very poignant without Scott Hastings this year and we can't thank Chris enough for stepping in to help and doing Scott proud.

Organisers were also delighted to welcome Finlay from the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, who helped coordinate volunteers and bring plenty of Doddie spirit to the day.

Powered by Marshals and Community Support

Events like this simply wouldn't happen without an incredible team behind the scenes.

A huge thank you goes to the marshals who kept runners moving safely around the course and to Susie, who expertly led the event on the day.

Local businesses also played their part in making the event such a success. Finishers were treated to much appreciated crisps and popcorn from Taylors Snacks, while Fife Medical Group Ltd provided medical cover. Thanks also go to Leslie from Cup Above Catering, and Toy Story Ices Edinburgh for providing sustenance and to Chariots of Fire Beach Race for providing prizes.

Reliving the Day

The memories from this year's event have been beautifully captured in both photographs and video.

James from Appin Video created a fantastic highlights film showcasing the energy and atmosphere of the day, while event photographer Mike captured hundreds of smiling faces, determined finishes and proud moments along the route.

Participants can now browse the photo galleries, find themselves among the action and relive a memorable day. Please remember to credit the photographer when sharing images and, where possible, support their work through the official download link.

Race results are also available for those eager to see how they performed.

See You in 2027

From first time runners to experienced racers, from the Kids' 1K to the 10K finishers, every participant helped make this year's My Name'5 Doddie event a tremendous success.

Thank you to everyone who ran, marshalled  donated, supported and cheered from the sidelines.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Silverknowes on 13 June 2027 for another unforgettable day of running, fundraising and community spirit.
