A Cosy Splash-Fest at Silverknowes

Sunday’s Hot Chocolate 5K and 10K brought a brilliant burst of energy to a very soggy Silverknowes Prom, as more than 380 hardy runners shrugged off the rain and turned up determined to make it a celebration rather than a washout. With over 450 sign-ups, the atmosphere was buzzing from the moment the first umbrellas appeared.

Despite the weather, the mood stayed warm - helped along nicely by the delicious hot chocolate generously supplied by the team at Starbucks Barnton. Whether you crossed the line sprinting or strolling, that steaming cup was waiting like a well-earned hug.
