Fife Pilgrim Way Ultra Marathon

  • Blast Running North Queensferry Scotland (map)

The Fife Pilgrim Way Ultra is back for 2027 - Step back in time and follow in the footsteps of pilgrims who, centuries ago, journeyed across Fife seeking meaning, purpose, and connection. Inspired by Queen Margaret’s historic crossing at Queensferry, this fully marked ultra takes you along the ancient pilgrim route to St Andrews Cathedral – once the final resting place of the Apostle’s remains.

This isn’t just another ultra.
It’s a journey of reflection, endurance, and discovery. Run through historic towns like Dunfermline, Lochore, Markinch and Ceres. Soak in breathtaking Fife landscapes and feel the stories of faith and determination echo with every step.

Will you take the path?

I just wanted to say thank you for organising the FPWU. It was a lovely route and a welcoming and well organised event. I’m really glad that I had chance to run the recces and meet some of my fellow runners and marshals before the event. Being familiar with the route was great. The welcome at the finish line was great. (Thanks for the finish line hug Susie!) The facilities and the food at the end were just what was needed. (Although I think I’m now addicted to those doughnuts!!) I met and chatted with people who I knew already and folks that I’d not seen before or during the race.
