Your Race . Your Pace
All our runs are chip timed however our spirit is that we are here to support your personal running goals. Whether you are trying to break 20 minutes or 40 minutes for your 5km the clock only starts timing you when you cross the start line.… can you sneak under your PB?
Social Conscience
From the very first runner across the start line on 29th September 2019 we have been supporting local charities and causes close to our hearts.
We have fundraised for Play Therapy Base, The MS Society Scotland, Fresh Start, Cramond Playgroup, Rosa UK, Citadel Youth Centre, My Park Scotland, SSAFA (The Armed Forces Charity), The Water of Leith Conservation Trust, Young Lives Vs Cancer, RNLI, Held in Our Hearts, 500 Miles, Kidney Kids Scotland, Richmond’s Hope, Firefly International and the Scottish Refugee Council.
Since 2019 we have raised over £20K (updated Jan ‘25) and thank you ALL for your help in raising this much needed money or these wonderful charities!

I’ve been participating in Blast Running events since 2021, and have had nothing but great experiences. It’s one of my go-to places to check for local running events when I’m planning out my year and my training blocks. The events are well organised, set up and supported by the event team, well signposted and marshalled, with great support and encouragement from the event team covering all areas of the event from registration through to the finish line. Pre race communications always clear and thorough, team quick to respond to any queries or last minute changes!

Great trail run through Dalmeny woods and over the Forth Road Bridge. Very scenic. Keep some energy for the last few miles though as some energy zapping inclines.

I love Blast Running Events, because there is lots of variety in distance and terrain, the Blast team are very welcoming and are so inclusive - everyone is welcome. I can’t wait for the next race at Dalmeny Trail Half Mara in October x

I love that you can generally enter their events on the day. They are friendly, efficient and licensed and offer a great variety of events for all sorts of runners.

I ran the Innocent Half and 20 Along The Forth in early 2025 as part of my training for the Edinburgh Marathon. The organisation of each was excellent. Safe and efficient stewarding without being officious or obtrusive. The vibe was relaxed, friendly and fun. I managed a totally unexpected half-marathon PB at the Innocent Half despite a big hill in the middle and it blowing a gale on the day!

Really enjoyed my first event with Blast Running. Very inclusive event with a good mix of gender/ages and a great atmosphere.

I thought it was a really great atmosphere at the start / finish area. Great idea to rinse cups and team doing it did so well. Possibly more portaloos at start as was a big queue. Blast running events are great - they have a real local feel to them and I have enjoyed the 2 so far I have done this year and definitely will enter more! Well done.

Even though it was ridiculously hot this was such a supportive race and such a lovely course that just kept going! Great communication from organiser and fab teenagers helping at water stations. Also loved that could leave your own water / juice and find it easily every lap!

Great flat course - it was a very hot evening in the sun!

Great well organised event, made even better by the lovely weather and route.
~ Russell R, 6 December 2023, RaceCheck - The Water of Leith Half
Brilliant communication before the event and very well organised throughout. Very minor sections where direction wasn’t obvious but previously distributed gpx file confirmed things. A nice scenic run and marshalls at crossing points were excellent, as were many of the drivers so obviously gave way to runners when they did really have to. Even the weather was perfect.
