An unsecured bag drop tent will be available at the Blast Running Gazebo. The race organisers take no responsibility for any items stored before, during or after the race but we are nearby at all times.

Race Briefing
There will be a race safety brief given to all runners 5 minutes before the event to go over any safety issues and give the opportunity for runners to ask any questions.

Start time
Your event start time is 5pm. The full marathon, relay marathon and half marathon events all start together.

Race Route
https://www.strava.com/routes/2892854067346403776

The route has been measured by a Scottish Athletics official course measurer and has been licenced by Scottish Athletics as a marathon distance. If you are using this event as a time qualifier for another marathon such as London or Boston then this information should suffice however this decision is at the discretion of each individual event organiser. Distance certificates and Licences can be emailed to you upon request (blastrunning1@gmail.com).

The race route starts at Gypsy Brae Recreation Ground and heads Westwards towards Cramond along the foreshore with a circle around the flagpole at the far end, It then returns Eastwardly and follows the sea wall towards Granton before turning back to Gypsy Brae.

It is a 100% tarmac route and is a flat course with no obstacles to manoeuvre.

The route is car free however it will not be closed to the public so there may be dog walkers, cyclists and children on the route.

Each lap is 7,032.5m in length - the half marathon is 3 laps, the marathon is 6 laps.

Relay teams - each runner must complete at least 1 lap however you may divide the remaining laps as you wish. The timing chip must be passed from runner to runner in the 'chip swap area' (there will be a marshal there to help you).

Please follow all instructions from our race marshals as they are there to ensure your safety.

Water Stops
Water and Active Root energy drink (ginger) will be provided at the far ends of the loop (every 2 miles or so) and you may also leave your own named bottle on the water station table.
